Kenny Chesney heeft de meeste nominees zeven stuks maar liefst .Jennifer Nettles van Sugarland zes vijf met Sugarland en een solo voor t schijven van Stay. George Strait heeft er vijf daarmee heeft hij er 75 CMA Awards nominations in zijn loopbaan, net achter Alan Jackson die er 79 heeft met dit jaar een nominatie voor Male Vocalist. Brad Paisley heeft dit jaar vier nominations gekregen onder ander voor Male Vocalist welk hij heeft gewonnen in 2007. Keith Urban is ook genomineerd voor Male Vocalist, hij heeft die gewonnen in 2005.
 
Na `t winnen van Female Vocalist van 2006 en 2007 is Carrie Underwood ook weer terug met twee nominaties. Alison Krauss is ook genomineerd met twee nominaties. Miranda Lambert heeft er ook twee. Taylor Swift staat voor t eerst in de categorie Female Vocalist. Verder in die catagorie staat Martina McBride die ze al vier keer heeft gewonnen. Daarmee staat ze gelijk met Reba McEntire voor de meeste gewonnen CMA Awards voor Female Vocalist, Die nu een nomination heeft voor musical Event samen met Kenny Ckesney daarmee staat ze t hoogste als Female Artist met nominaties namelijk 46 in 42 jaar geschiedenis CMA Awards
 
Het is meer dan 30 jaar geleden dat ze genomineerd zijn (1976, 1977) maar de Eagles zijn terug dit jaar in de catagorie Vocal Group of the Year . Nieuw dit jaar staat er Lady Antebellum die ook is genomineerd voor New Artist.Rascal Flatts staat er de laaste vijf jaar en is dit jaar ook genomineerd voor Vocal Group of the year .Verder staat er Emmerson Drive voor de tweede jaar en Little Big Town die ook genomineerd zijn Musical Event of the Year.
 
Een Artist mag maar twee keer genomineerd worden als New Artist of the Year. Dit jaar is er een mix van nieuw met Lady Antebellum en James Otto en voor de tweede keer genomineerde Jason Aldean, Rodney Atkins en Kellie Pickler
 
Brooks & Dunn hebben al vele CMA Awards gewonnen namelijk 19 dat kan dit jaar uitgebeid worden met 2 , ze zijn namelijk genomineerd voor Vocal Duo die ze al 14 keer hebben gewonnen en Album of the Year.
 
Trace Adkins heeft twee nominaties voor t lied You`re Gonna Miss This als Single en Music Video of the Year.
 
In 2007 werden de CMA Awards in Nashville bekeken door maar liefst 16 miljoen kijkers.
